The theory of love?
Read over at VioletLim about this theory of love by a Robert Sternberg. Looks like it's a book for me to read sometime.
According to him, for a relationship to last, and to grow with time… the couple must experience 3 things:
Passion, Intimacy and Commitment.
Qantas Airlines Service Check
It takes a college degree to fly a plane but only a high school diploma to
fix one: a reassurance for those of us who fly routinely in their jobs.
After every flight, Qantas pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet"
which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics
correct the problems; document their repairs on the form, and then pilots
review the gripe sheets before the next flight.
Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humour. Here are
some
actual maintenance complaints submitted by Qantas pilots (marked with a P)
and the solutions recorded (marked with an S) by maintenance engineers.
What do you do with veggies if you don't like to eat them?

Street Fighter: The Later Years

A simple lesson on economics, capitalism, taxes, the government, and you!
Let's put tax cuts in terms everyone can understand. Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner. The bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh $7.
The eighth $12.
The ninth $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
A blast from the past! How many SBC/TCS shows can you remember?
Talk about a blast from the past!
Before mediacorp became mediacorp, it was TCS (Television corporation of Singapore). Before TCS, there was SBC (Singapore Broadcasting Corporation *I think*)
For those born after 1985, I don't think you'll remember any of these man. For those born in the early 80s, and 70s, enjoy!
